Dancing with the Stars 8: Final Performance Live Thoughts (Page 3/4)
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani - Freestyle

I wonder if Melissa and Tony will put a lot of cheerleading moves into their routine. From the looks of their rehearsals, they do have a lot of tricks and throws and aerial moves. Tony even gets hit in the eye when he throws Melissa in the air.

Melissa's hair is AMAZING tonight. I wish I could make my hair do that! They are dressed like the dance version of "urban hoodlums," and the choreo is full of 1992-era hip hop steps. It takes me back to middle school. They do a tremendous job, but I think that it doesn't have the polish and finesse that Shawn's had.

Carrie Ann says that she loves Melissa's new commitment to dancing, but she has problems with the disjointed choreography. Len complains that they should have capitalized on Melissa's elegance instead of doing more cheerleader moves. Bruno, also, thinks that the routine was too disjointed.

The scores:
Carrie Ann: 9
Len: 9
Bruno: 9
Total: 27 out of 30, and 56 out of 60 for the evening.
