This is one of a series of brief articles meant to introduce the DWTS viewer to each of the season 13 celebrities. Until Dancing with the Stars begins and we get our TV introductions, this will have to do!

Why You Know Him
David Arquette appeared in a number of films and TV shows during the 1990s, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer (in 1992), Airheads (in 1994) and Never Been Kissed (in 1999). Still, David's most notable role, in terms of gaining (and keeping) fame, has been that of Dewey Riley in the Scream film series.

Arquette met his eventual wife, Courteney Cox, on the set of the first Scream, and the two were married in 1999. That marriage came to an end in 2010, leading to a string of tabloid reports, Howard Stern interviews and rehab.

If you've spent a lot of time following David's career, you would also know him as a producer (with Courteney Cox, David Arquette is a co-producer of the current show Cougar Town), a professional wrestler, a comic-book writer and a fashion designer.

Seriously

Why He's on Dancing with the Stars
After his bad run in 2010 and 2011 (and the box-office dullness of Scream 4), David Arquette is very likely in need of a career facelift.

Dancing/Performance Experience
Although there's nothing to hint that David has a lot of experience dancing, his history as an actor and wrestler indicate a great deal of performance background.

DWTS Potential
David Arquette is one of the best-known of the season 13 DWTS stars. Plus, he's a charming and self-deprecating performer. If he can dance, David might go all the way to the finals.
