Kate Gosselin, the infamous mom of eight, made it clear from the start that she'll need special allowances for her
Dancing with the Stars training, and ABC has been more than happy to oblige.

While Kate's ten competitors will stay in Los Angeles to train and perform with their professional partners, she'll wrack up major miles flying back and forth so she and partner Tony Dovolani can practice near her kids in Wernersville, Pa.
"I'm going to practice in my basement when they're home or sleeping," said Gosselin in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel after ABC announced her spot on
Dancing with the Stars. "And when they're at school, I'll go to a local studio. The whole goal is to be home as much as I can, and I'll come back and forth every week."
Gosselin went on to say that they'll construct a "makeshift dancefloor" in her basement for her and Dovolani, whom Kate calls a "miracle worker," to practice each week.
Meet the Dancing with the Stars Season 10 Celebs And Professional PartnersAnd what about the days of her
Dancing with the Stars performances? It sounds like as least some of Kate's kids will fly along with Mom to the Monday and Tuesday tapings in L.A., as
DWTS host Tom Bergeron told
US Weekly, "Bruno, one of our judges, has set up a daycare" just for the Gosselin kids.
Despite being a ballroom novice, Kate said Tony is a "positive person" who always finds something nice to say about her dancing. And it's a good thing Tony is an optimistic guy, since he'll be spending most of his
Dancing with the Stars season in cold Pennsylvania instead of sunny Los Angeles.
Sounds like Tony's positivity (combined with
Dancing with the Stars' willingness to let her do things her way) has been rubbing off on Gosselin, who confidently told Kimmel, "I am gonna win."
