Not all of the stars are going into this double elimination equally. Where do they all stand after the performances of Dancing with the Stars

Of course, with such a small points spread, a lot of this is going to depend on the stars' popularity with the audience. BuddyTV readers are but a small segment of that audience, but that doesn't mean their opinions don't reflect the reality. In our Readers' Poll
, 50 percent of voters picked Melissa and Maks as the most likely to go home. Roshon and Chelsie (33 percent), Maria and Derek (10 percent), Katherine and Mark (4 percent), and William and Cheryl (3 percent) trailed as likely elimination contenders. Nobody picked Donald and Peta.
Will this be right? Keep reading to find out.
Now let's get to the results!
Before there can be any results, however, there must be distracting entertainment. The first piece of entertainment is an encore dance from Donald Driver, Peta Murgatroyd and Karina Smirnoff.
It's still fun.
That dance finished, the RESULTS
First up to learn their fates: Donald & Peta and Katherine & Mark.
So...Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd are SAFE!!!Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas remain in jeopardy.
Boo on that.
But whatever. Because DanceCenter is coming up!!!!!!!!!!
I love DanceCenter.
DanceCenter!!! 'Nuff said.
Or not. Naked, sexy Len video. That cannot be ignored. Unfortunately.
Alas, all good things must come to an end. And apparently the good things must be replaced by a performance from Chris Brown. Isn't he controversial or something? I suppose that doesn't matter if he's a hot singer.
Could this possibly be time for more RESULTS
It looks like William & Cheryl and Roshon & Chelsie are up. And ONE OF THEM IS IN THE BOTTOM TWO AND WILL BE ELIMINATED!!!
Whoa. Didn't expect that already. Anyway...Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower have been eliminated in Dancing with the Stars week 8!
This leaves...William Levy and Cheryl Burke are SAFE!!!
And so the bloodbath begins... It's a little unfortunate how unsurprising Roshon's elimination feels. Considering his scores, we should probably consider this a big upset. But it's not.
Kind of sucks for Roshon and Chelsie. Oh well.
Now we forget our troubles! Why? Because it's time for more DanceCenter
It's time for the Dick Clark tribute now. That's fitting, considering the influence the guy had on TV dancing. And in the category of awesome, they brought back some of the original "kids" from American Bandstand
We could have more results now. But we won't. Instead, we're getting a dance that's apparently part of the Las Vegas Dancing with the Stars
show. That's not as exciting.
Now, the RESULTS
! The lowest-scoring couples of the night -- Maria & Derek and Melissa and Maks -- get theirs now.Maria Menounos and Derek Hough are SAFE!!!
This means...Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy remain in jeopardy.
So it looks like the final elimination will be Katherine Jenkins vs. Melissa Gilbert. Will scores or votes carry the day?
And the verdict is...Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas are SAFE!
Which means...Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy have been eliminated from Dancing with the Stars season 8!
That's kind of a rotten birthday present for Melissa.
Otherwise, however, we made it through the double eliminations! The Dancing with the Stars
season 8 semi-finals are next week! And the drama just increases from here...
