We saw a lot of dancing this week. And it was a lot of good dancing! No clue if it was the 200th anniversary excitement or just the added motivation of making the final six, but the dancers were in prime form this week.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
Alas for those of us who try to predict the upcoming elimination, those dances leave no clear loser. All of the scores were close (only 7 points separate first from last place), and every dance could count as a success. Still, someone does have to leave. Who will it be?Most likely to leave:Kurt Warner (score = 61)
Kurt is not a bad dancer, but he's not a great dancer either. While his cha-cha was fun and entertaining, Kurt's tango made the football star look like a pillar of granite. His scores weren't bad for the week -- good enough to tie for third place -- but the judges were unenthusiastic. After last week's low scores, this might be the end for Kurt Warner.Bristol Palin (score = 57)
Bristol scored at the bottom, and not for the first time. Her dancing was fairly nice, but the competition is too fierce for that to be OK. She may not be a natural performer, but dance is performance and she's got to figure it out at some point! That said, a lot of people vote for her. Most deserving of elimination:Bristol Palin
Bristol's continued presence after this week -- at least the second in which she deserved to go home -- would just be a joke. Unfortunately for some of the other contestants, the joke may be on us.Should be worried:Kyle Massey (score = 59)
The judges loved Kyle's dance, and he's fun for everyone. But Kyle did
get the second-lowest score of the night, and people don't really expect him to make it to the finals. Probably the voters will want to keep the fun around, but he's still in some jeopardy.Rick Fox (score = 61)
It would make me very sad if "The Jolly Green Giant" were to be eliminated tonight. But are the voters quite as amused as me? Hard to say, since I just don't know who votes for Rick.Probably safe... For now:Jennifer Grey (score = 64)
If she hadn't staged a comeback this week, Jennifer would have been a prime candidate for elimination. But she did it. Her tango may have been a half-step below Brandy's fiery foxtrot, but the scores and judges' praise mean this week was a triumph for Jennifer Grey.Brandy (score = 64)
After that dance? No way Brandy's leaving any time soon. Barring some major missteps, Brandy might as well get ready for the finals now.
Who do you think it's going to be this week? Are we going to get another surprise elimination? Or will one of the lower scorers disappear from the stage? Let us know!(Image courtesy of ABC)
