What did you think of this week's Dancing with the Stars performances? The leader board, for one, looks weird. Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff got a stunning 29 but their group paso was a letdown, so their overall score was only good for second spot at 53. On the other hand, Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough got only 27 for their first dance, but the 28 they got for the group tango lifted their score to 55, the night's best.

On the other side of the spectrum, Mark Dacascos and Anna Trebunskaya (temp replacement to Lacey Schwimmer) had a sort of fall from grace, after a great two weeks or so and find themselves in the bottom of the pile at 43, four points below what-is-he-still-doing-here Michael Irvin, who, by the way, is just two points away from frontrunner Mya, who is astonishingly third from the bottom with 49. Crazy week. Here's how the rest of the leader board looks:

The best - Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff's Jive

Aaron's smarmy personality aside, their jive was full of energy, snappy, and just all around awesome. Did the whole footwork training do the trick? It certainly looked that way. I don't agree that this dance deserved this season's first ten from head judge Len Goodman, but it's also not totally farfetched.

The worst - Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova's Foxtrot

Of course, Michael Irvin is the worst dancer left standing, and it's an absolutely travesty that when you look at the leader board, Mark Dacascos is underneath him, a big four points away. It felt a little iffy when the judges reminded the seven remaining celebs that they've reached that far because they're good dancers, and right and then, the camera should've zoomed at Michael Irvin to illustrate the point (or lack thereof). There was hardly anything memorable in this foxtrot; it is mediocre at best.
