Thanks to Dancing with the Stars, Gilles Marini is now a household name. His exposure on the ABC hit series not only earned him a solid following, but more TV role offers as well. According to OK! Magazine, the 33-year-old French actor has just booked a guest role on Brothers & Sisters.
"I'm going to work on ABC on Brothers & Sisters," the Dancing with the Stars front runner told OK! following Tuesday night's Results Show.
Of course Marini wouldn't say anything about his upcoming role on the drama series other than it's a "secret" and that it's still to be determined how many episodes in which he's slated to appear. He would, however, hint that "it's going to be very interesting. It's going to be a like, 'Oh, my God.' It's going to be great."
On the other hand, an ABC rep told
Access Hollywood on Thursday that Marini was not confirmed to do the show.
At any rate, Marini has come a long way since his breakthrough role as Dante in the
Sex and the City movie. He has also been seen on shows like
Ugly Betty, Dirty Sexy Money, Criminal Minds, Windfall and several soap operas including
The Bold and the Beautiful and
Passions.
And a little IMDB research also reveals that he'll be appearing as Renaldo Panettiere in at least two episodes of
Nip/Tuck.In the mean time, Marini is focusing on getting the mirror ball trophy on
Dancing with the Stars where he's up against
The Bachelor star Melissa Rycroft and Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson.
"I did the show because of my daughter, Juliana: She danced all day at 16 months old," he said. "I want Juliana to have the real trophy in her room. It will be the best thing that ever happened."
