To tie off their tumultuous year on reality TV, former
Bachelor Jake Pavelka and his fiance Vienna Girardi will return to the
Dancing with the Stars stage during Tuesday night's finale for a special dance to their anthem, "On the Wings of Love."
Of
course they will.
Vienna tells E! Online, "I'm very
nervous. Jake's been telling
everyone that I'm a really good dancer, but I'm really not. The
expectations are too high for me."
Oh, Vienna. You and I both know that's not true. People's expectations for you couldn't be
lower!
What else is coming up on this week's two-night Dancing season 10 finale? Read on to find out!Jake isn't the only eliminated
Dancing star coming back for the finale. In fact, all the stars and their pros will revisit the stage to send off the season--including
Kate Gosselin. She's busy practicing with ex-partner
Tony Dovolani, who told Extra that Kate might be literally flying in the finale:
"There's gonna be a liftoff! I think
Buzz [Aldrin] is waiting for her. I think
Buzz has surpassed the moon now and he's waiting for Kate."
ABC is calling Kate's routine a "high-wire act."
Chad Ochocinco will also return with a romantic Rumba, while
Pamela Anderson will perform her "hottest dance
yet."
As for our finalists--
Evan Lysacek, Erin Andrews and Nicole Scherzinger--each couple has to come up with four dances: two for Monday night, two for Tuesday night, including the always popular freestyle round.
The first number for each couple will be
"the redemption dance": the style that the
judges felt the couples most underperformed throughout the season, with a new routine and new music. The judges have selected the following dance styles: the
Samba for Erin
and Maks, the
Viennese Waltz for Evan and Anna, and the
Rumba for Nicole
and Derek.
"What, no samba for Evan and Anna," you ask? We're surprised, too.
On Tuesday night, each couple will give an
encore performance of their favorite routine--and guess what? For the first time ever,
each couple selected their Argentine tango. (That's not surprising at all. In our list of
our 21 favorite Dancing numbers this season, we agree!)
In his
latest blog for TV Guide,
Maksim Chmerkovskiy explains how the schedule will play out for his partnership: "We have to do a whole new samba and the freestyle on Monday. On Tuesday,
we do a repeat dance -- Argentine tango for us -- and then one couple is
eliminated, and the other two perform the dance-off."
Maks also explains that he and Erin know they have tough competition in the finale, but that could be to their advantage:
"We are still a dark horse. Results-wise, Nicole and Evan are both ahead
of us if you combine points for the season or average them out. Evan has
a humongous fan base and Nicole has an amazing following as well. We're
not counting ourselves out, but we're probably the ones who will have
the most fun out there because we have no pressure."
The Insider caught up with Derek Hough and Nicole during one of their rehearsals. What's the hardest part of doing four dances, according to Derek? "Coming up with four dances!" Watch the
Insider video to find out what this power ballroom couple's "secret weapon" will be during the finale.
