In the fifth episode of the season, the CSI team goes behind the scenes of the adult horror world when a slasher film actress is murdered on the set of one of her latest movies.  Taking the lead in the investigation is Gil Grissom (William Petersen), the night shift team supervisor for the Las Vegas CSI unit who also specializes in forensic entomology.  Joining him in his exploration are blood spatter analyst Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger), audio-video analyst Warrick Brown (Gary Dourdan), and hair and fiber analyst Nicholas "Nick" Stokes (George Eads), just to name a few.

“The Chick Chop Flick Shop” is written by Evan Dunsky, who has written two episodes of the forensic drama, and is directed by Richard J. Lewis, who has directed 37 episodes of CSI.

Aside from the principle ensemble, this episode features a bunch of guest stars like John Ventimiglia who plays Stanley Vespucci.  Ventimiglia is most recently known for portraying Artie Bucco on HBO's mob drama, The Sopranos.  His other credits include Cop Land and Mickey Blue Eyes.  Martin Klebba (Little People, Big World) as Dickie Jones, Chris Diamantopoulos (State of Mind) as Oliver Zarco, and Will Sasso (MADtv) as Mason Lafoon, are also set to appear.

Returning on CSI are David Berman, Archie Kao, Liz Vassey, Jessica Lucas and Jon Wellner who will be reprising their established recurring roles as David Phillips, Archie Johnson, Wendy Simms, Ronnie Lake and Henry Andrews respectively.
