There's a new magazine series that will take fans behind the scenes of the
CSI franchise and it's coming this fall. Titan Magazines, known for publishing titles like
24, Battlestar Galactica and
Prison Break, will soon be offering a series of issues that dig deeper into realm of
CSI: Miami,
CSI: New York and the original
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
A new magazine will come out every two months while the focus of each edition will rotate between the three
CSI programs. Logically, the first release will focus on the original
CSI series.
Each issue of
CSI magazine will provide exclusive forensic access to the stars and talent behind the scenes of the award-winning crime-solving drama. These include exclusive interviews and articles, as well as insights on how the show is developed.
The first edition of
CSI magazine will include interviews with
William Petersen (Gil Grissom) and
Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle). It will also feature a
CSI glossary and an explanation of the techniques used on the show.
Titan's magazine isn't the first of its kind to take fans into the world of
CSI. In 2005, British fans of the original series had the opportunity to subscribe to
CSI: The Official DVD Collection, which consisted of a magazine and a DVD with two episodes of
CSI.
The
CSI: The Official DVD Collection has already finished its run, and while Titan's
CSI magazine does not offer DVD's with each issue, it attempts to capture fans' interest with its exclusive content. Also coming soon from Titan are magazines about the series
Supernatural and
Torchwood.
Along with the release of the magazine, fans are also waiting for the return of
CSI on television. Production of season eight has already started in July and is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, September 27, 9pm ET/PT on CBS.
