Carmine Giovinazzo was born on August 24, 1973 in Staten Island, New York. He has Italian, British, Norwegian and American roots and comes from a family of police officers. Initially, he wanted to become a professional baseball player but as time passed by, he got interested in acting. Eventually, he appeared in shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and films like Billy Hollywood Screen Kiss, For the Love of the Game, The Big Brass Ring and Black Hawk Down. At present, he portrays Danny Messer in the TV series CSI: NY.
