Matthew Gray Gubler was born on March 9, 1980 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Aside from being an actor, he is also a director, sketch artist and a former fashion model. His 6"1 stance landed him a spot with DNA Model Management, Tommy Hilfiger and many fashion designers. Apparently, his youth did not become a hindrance for him to direct such projects like The Cactus That Looked Just Like a Man, Matthew Gray Gubler's Life Aquatic Intern, and Dead or Retarded. Presently, he is part of the television show Criminal Minds where he plays Spencer Reid. Special Agent Spencer Reid is amazingly brilliant. He graduated high school at the age of 12 and acquired a triple PhD at the age of 25. He usually helps the team by working on statistics and spotting complex patterns. He also serves as the group's handwriting analyst.
