We all know how funny new mom and recent fashion icon
Nicole Richie can be. On
The Simple Life, her show with fellow socialite and former BFF
Paris Hilton, Richie is often the hilarious one, breaking the rules and taking pleasure in seeing people's reaction when she says or does something totally outrageous.
Such comedic abilities will be put to test when Richie guest-stars in the NBC comedy
Chuck as super agent Sarah Walker's (played by
Yvonne Strahovski) high school nemesis who will make a grand and perhaps unwelcome return in her life on their 10 year high school reunion.

My Nmae is Earl had Paris, Ugly Betty had Lindsay and HIMYM had Britney. This isn't all-bad, and I suspect...

I think this is a good move since she has proven herself that she can be funny. I hope the storyline works ...
Executive producer Josh Schwartz was visibly impressed by Richie, who recently gave birth to baby Harlow in January and launched a jewelry line named after her first baby with band vocalist Joel Madden.
"Nicole auditioned for the part and was very funny. This role is a great opportunity for her to show off her comedic skills and... kick some butt."
True enough, if Richie can be irrepressibly funny on an unscripted show, who's to say she won't do better when directed? In
Chuck, she will play as Sarah's high school arch enemy, a “snarky and spiteful girl who tortured [her] in high school.” To make matters worse, she is Chuck's (played by
Zachary Levi) date. Richie has previously guest starred on
8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenager Daughter and
American Dreams.
Chuck, a comedy that features a computer geek who accidentally downloads top-secret government info on his brain, is scheduled to return to NBC in September. Richie had lately been a controversial figure, who belongs to the notorious group of Hollywood wild party girls such as Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. She was arrested for DUI in 2006.
