I don't think
Chuck is all the way there yet. There are glimpses of real promise at almost every turn, but as a whole
Chuck remains disjointed. The comedy on tonight's episode was some of the best we've seen, and we actually started to delve into Sarah and Bryce's back story, as well as an incident involving Major Casey in Prague. But, the story had some holes and the action scenes were abrupt and weirdly repetitive. However, it's hard to complain when
Yvonne Strahovski and another beautiful spy spend much of the hour scantily clad.
Chuck will always have that to fall back on, at least.
Chuck, Sara, Morgan, Ellie and Captain Awesome play the Newlywed Game, in which Morgan knows Chuck freakishly well. Sarah has also done her homework. Some unpleasantness occurs when the question “Most hated person?” comes up for Chuck and Sarah guesses Harry Tang, when everyone else knows that it's Bryce Larkin. This causes Chuck to ask Sarah what her and Bryce's relationship was like. Sarah lies and says that while they were partners, they were never really friends.
While Sarah is back at her place getting ready for bed, she is attacked by a ninja dressed in black. After some fisticuffs, the masked person reveals herself. It's Karina, someone Sarah knew from back in Washington, a DEA Agent. She's gone rogue apparently, and asks for Sarah's help in stealing a diamond. By the way, Sarah is dressed in a tiny bathrobe the whole time. Good stuff.
Peyman Alahi, a drug czar type guy, is in possession of the diamond which Karina want. The Washington powers-that-be debrief Walker, Casey and Chuck. They're informed that Chuck will assist Karina in stealing the diamond from Alahi's compound. Casey and Karina have a background, stemming from an incident in Prague. Morgan also takes a liking to Karina, who is quite hot. Sarah doesn't believe Karina can be trusted.
Karina wants to go talk to Chuck, see if he's going to be OK on their mission. Sarah, in return for her help on the mission, demands that Karina goes on a double date with Morgan, Chuck and Sarah. Awkwardness ensues. The four of them watch March of the Penguins and eat pizza. Chuck fields a call in the middle of the night as the on-call Nerd Herder. He turns up at the hotel room to where he's been summoned – it's Karina's room. She wears only a bath robe, with lingerie underneath. Chuck is pretty uncomfortable. Chuck learns from Karina that Sarah and Bryce were dating.
Sarah and Chuck talk about the plan for stealing the diamond at the Wienerlicious, but Chuck is clearly distraught. He tells Sarah what Karina told him about Sarah and Bryce. Chuck is not happy when Sarah doesn't deny it.
Karina, Chuck and Sarah show up at the swanky party. Alahi is there and he's a very hairy man. Chuck calls him a wookie, hence the title of the episode. Casey is there as well, posing as a limo driver.
Chuck, Sarah and Karina break into a part of the estate that has a ton of security. They find the diamond quite easily. But once they enter, Alahi shows up with a couple of goons. Sarah and Karina act ditsy and gleen some important information about the diamond (security comes quick, the room fills with gas, etc.) Sarah lets Alahi show her some paintings and Chuck has a flash. He sees that the diamond is protected by 20,000 volts of electricity. He and Karina get the idea to knock it off its pedestal with some compressed air. Luckily there's a fire extinguisher in the room, and Chuck catches the diamond as it blows off the pedestal. Sarah and Karina fight a bunch of goons on their way out of the party and agree to meet Casey on the beach. Karina has a new plan to take the diamond and meet up with them later. Sarah reminds Chuck that Karina is not to be trusted, but Chuck's still pissed about the Bryce thing, so he gives Karina the diamond. Karina ditches them on a jet ski.
Sarah is pissed at Chuck for not trusting her. Sarah has to go back to work and gets a call from Karina as they drive away. It's mostly gloating, but it allows Casey to put a trace on Karina's phone. He finds her in her hotel, where Morgan is also waiting with flowers for Karina. Karina kisses Morgan (while dropping the diamond into Morgan's messenger bag), tells him to leave, and then seduces Casey. Needless to say, he doesn't get the diamond. When Sarah is worried that she hasn't heard from Casey in more than an hour, she goes to Karina's hotel to find Casey tied up and pantless.
As Chuck looks for a video game from Morgan's messenger bag, he finds the diamond that Karina planted on Morgan. While looking at it, Chuck has a flash and learns that the diamond is not a drug diamond, but a terrorist diamond, and way more dangerous than first thought. He calls Sarah to tell her, but Sarah pleads for Chuck to find Karina and bring the diamond to the hotel. We see that Alahi has found her and Casey and are holding them hostage in Karina's hotel room.
Karina shows up at Chuck's house to retrieve the diamond. He guilt trips her into helping him out to save Sarah. Chuck and Karina show up at the hotel. Karina refuses to give the diamond to Alahi and a massive fight breaks out. In the scuffle, Chuck ends up with the diamond. He makes it into the hotel's business center and frantically puts the diamond in a FedEx box, sending it to who knows where. Casey shows up and vanquishes a goon. The good guys win! Alahi is ruined and the government gets the diamond.
