'Charlie's Angels' Season 1 Preview Guide: Welcome Back, Angels
It's out with the old for Charlie's Angels season 1, that's for sure. It's all about second chances for Charlie's Angels. This revival of the classic 1970s series follows three young women who have fallen by the wayside and now have a new shot on the right side of the tracks. Abby, Kate and Gloria are taken under the wing of Charlie Townsend, giving them a sense of family and better reasons to be "tough chicks." When a mission gone wrong costs Gloria her life, the Angels recruit Eve, Gloria's childhood friend. The fresh-faced beauties along with sidekick Bosley are in Miami for what is sure to be a sexy, wild ride of girl power.

Executive producer Drew Barrymore has brought her big screen efforts back to television with Charlie's Angels season 1. The first season promises a different take on the original series, introducing audiences to three new Angels, and three new stories. As executive producer and star of the 2000 Charlie's Angels film remake, Barrymore is busy doing things that descendants of movie legends do. Fortunately, she had time enough to spare in order to fill out the cast of this revamped series.

With Charlie's Angels season 1, the Angels are somewhat new to the Hollywood scene: Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights, The Roommate) stars as Eve, Rachael Taylor (Transformers, Shutter) as Abby and Annie Llonzeh, in her first starring role, as Kate. As for Bosley, the goofy sidekick who never fails to miss a comic cue, he's been replaced by good looks, judging from the sight of Ramon Rodriguez (Battle L.A., Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen).

The biggest question surrounds the mystery: Who is Charlie? Well, it won't be Robert Wagner. He's backed out of the role, leaving Charlie's voice up for grabs.

Charlie's Angels
season 1 premieres Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 8pm on ABC.
