The wait is over for the much awaited sixth season of Celebrity Fit Club.  Tonight, viewers will get to know more about the new batch of contenders and the new twists and challenges they are about to face as the competitive reality series returns tonight at 9pm ET/PT on VH1.

As reported previously, the identities of this season's participants have already been announced.  These include Tina Yothers (Family Ties), Toccara Jones (America's Next Top Model), Willie Aames (Charles in Charge), and Dustin Diamond (Saved by the Bell), the veterans who will be back for another chance to complete their weight-loss mission.  On the other hand, the show will also be adding some newbies such as Erin Moran (Happy Days, Joannie Loves Chachi), Sommore (Queens of Comedy), Brian Dunkleman (American Idol), and gossip columnist A.J. Benza.

Fittingly called Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp, this season will follow the celebrities get divided into groups of four and compete in different physical challenges while working together to reach their own fitness goals.

Instead of casting obscenely overweight celebrities who need to shed a large amount of weight, Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp assembled a "leaner" group of contestants who only need to lose 10 to 20 pounds each.  Throughout the season, these hopefuls will battle together, sweat together and even bunk together in a military barracks, all under the watchful eye of hardcore Drill Sgt Harvey Walden IV.

The team that achieves the greatest "Fit Factor," a new The Biggest Loser-like measure that takes into account the loss of not just body weight but also body fat, will ultimately receive $150,000 in cash and prizes.

Also featured on Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp are nutritional and diet expert Dr. Ian Smith and psychotherapist Stacy Kaiser, who will both offer their advice and support to the celebrity contestants.  Ant also returns for his sixth season to reprise his role as host.
