Fittingly called Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp
, this season will follow the celebrities get divided into groups of four and compete in different physical challenges while working together to reach their own fitness goals.
Instead of casting obscenely overweight celebrities who need to shed a large amount of weight, Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp
assembled a "leaner" group of contestants who only need to lose 10 to 20 pounds each. Throughout the season, these hopefuls will battle together, sweat together and even bunk together in a military barracks, all under the watchful eye of hardcore Drill Sgt Harvey Walden IV.
The team that achieves the greatest "Fit Factor," a new The Biggest Loser
-like measure that takes into account the loss of not just body weight but also body fat, will ultimately receive $150,000 in cash and prizes.
Also featured on Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp
are nutritional and diet expert Dr. Ian Smith and psychotherapist Stacy Kaiser, who will both offer their advice and support to the celebrity contestants. Ant also returns for his sixth season to reprise his role as host.
