Now that there are mere weeks left until the Castle season 5 premiere, we need to get busy with the Castle spoilers. It's not only romance this season -- there are murders too! Get a bit of scoop on those murders here.
WARNING: Castle season 5 spoilers lie ahead. Do you want to read them? Only you can make that choice. I would never dream of making it for you. But you deserve a warning. Jessica Fletcher Would Be ProudMy nostalgia for
Murder, She Wrote knows no bounds -- childhood evenings, watching TV with my decidedly un-cool parents, when Jessica Fletcher would solve crimes in the most dangerous small town Maine ever saw... Good times...
Fortunately, my nostalgia is being rewarded in
Castle season 5. According to
TVLine, a little bit of that old crime drama will come into play in episode 5, "Murder, He Wrote." The plot for the episode involves the murder of a person whose testimony led to insider-trading convictions. Castle and Beckett will also have to deal with a bumbling police chief and his assistant. Also, a suspect will jump overboard.
This one should be a lot of fun.
A Gossip Girl Actress Heads DowntownConsidering the twisted world of
Gossip Girl, the murder-filled stories of
Castle might be restful. Caroline Lagerfelt -- who played the
dearly-departed character of CeCe on
Gossip Girl through last season -- will guest star in an October episode of
Castle,
TVLine reports.
Lagerfelt will play the character of Angelica Henley, the wealthy, socialite employer of a murder victim. So it's not much of a stretch from her
Gossip Girl role.
A Killer News StoryEW.com reports that the second episode of
Castle season 5 will revolve around a murder at a local news station. When the station's weather girl is found dead, her possible involvement in an office romance might be to blame.
Or not. Either way, this is likely to have an effect on the new Castle-Beckett relationship.
Dirty PoliticsAs we
previously reported, Jack Coleman will guest star in
Castle's fifth season as a political figure who antagonizes Detective Kate Beckett. But of course there's more to the story than that.
TVLine quotes executive producer Andrew Marlowe's revealing statement on the character: "I can say that Jack Coleman plays somebody who has some knowledge about what may have gone on back in the day with Montgomery and may have some information as to what actually went on with Kate's mother's murder."
Castle season 5 will premiere on Monday, September 24 at 10pm on ABC.
