Cody Longo Taking Over Joe Jonas' Role in 'Brothers and Sisters'
There may be something to the role of Tommy that cause stars to just drop out of Brothers and Sisters because of it.  But conspiracy theories aside, it looks like Joe Jonas won't be playing the character's younger version in an upcoming flashback episode of the series.

Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly revealed that the member of the Jonas Brothers has dropped out of the ABC drama because he was particularly busy.  Sources have announced that the singer "had a scheduling conflict" and won't be able to film with the rest of the cast.

Since it seems like the star's plans of appearing on Brothers and Sisters have truly been terminated, they're going to need a replacement.  It's a good thing Cody Longo doesn't have a hectic schedule like Joe Jonas does.

Ausiello reports that the Make It or Break It star will be taking over the role of Balthazar Getty's Tommy Walker for the episode.  He'll be playing the man's 16-year-old version for the two-hour special, which will supposedly reveal a shocking secret about the Walkers.

Well, Cody Longo does look more like Balthazar Getty than that Jonas boy does.  He may look familiar from Make It or Break It, but he's also starred in a number of television series.  He's appeared on one episode of Medium last year, in addition to a role in Three Rivers.

Longo seems to have more experience on film though.  He's been cast in Ball Don't Lie in 2008 and on the remake of Fame as Andy Matthews.  A part in Bring It On: Fight to the Finish is also in his list of credits.

Other than the Brothers and Sisters role, the 21-year-old actor has a number of movies in store for him this year too.  He'll be playing Chad in High School, Todd in Piranha 3-D, and Ezekiel in Not Today.

But what we're really excited to see him play is, of course, the teen Tommy on this big Brothers and Sisters event.  Since they're still casting more of the family, the episode will probably air in a few months.  Hopefully everyone (Rob Lowe, we mean) sticks around for that.
