The second season finale of Brothers & Sisters added yet another veneer to the meaning of the show' title.  On Sunday's episode, two characters, who thought to be brother and sister, shared a romantic kiss and left viewers with enough “ick” cliffhangers to mull over all summer long.

Rebecca (Emily VanCamp) was brought into the Walker family when they thought she was their long-lost sister, the product of an affair between their late father and Rebecca's mother.  She immediately bonded with Justin (Dave Annable), whom she thought was his half-brother until a DNA test proved otherwise.

While this controversial storyline surprised many viewers, executive producer Alison Schapker reveals that the romance had been in the works for "an awfully long time," and the writers "actually have a big plan for Justin and Rebecca that involves the series as a whole."

Could a wedding be in the cards for the Rebecca and Justin?  Actually, VanCamp has already thought of that, seeing that the only way for her character Rebecca to become a Walker again is to marry Justin.

"I know, I hope so!  I want to be a Walker again so they better marry us, I'm telling you," VanCamp told the L.A. Daily News.

Annable's character could use a happy ending as well.  He has been through drug problems, being seriously wounded in the Iraq war, then getting hooked on prescription drugs while recovering from his leg injury.  But in the season's later episodes, Justin is surfing again and showing far more flashes of his trademark humor.

"It's not incestuous, we do find out she wasn't a Walker," Annable said.  "But just because she's not doesn't mean they're going to be romantically involved.  Our show revolves around the family dealing with these bigger issues and obviously this is a big issue.  Whichever way it goes, I think it's gonna be a lot of drama to be had."
