Last season I'd never seen a single episode of Bones
, now I'm hooked. Part of it could be the wasteland that is the television landscape at 8pm on Tuesday evenings, or the promise of a serialized cannibal serial killer story arc, or the addition of Freaks and Geeks
star John Francis Daley in a recurring role which begins tonight. While all of those are possible, the real reason is that I met the cast (minus David Boreanaz
) a while back at the FOX fall press junket in Los Angeles, and they were pretty much the awesomest people you could hope to meet.
Sure, it's an actor's job to be nice to the press during interviews, but the Bones
cast put everyone else to shame. Their smiles were more genuine, their laughter more sincere, and they'd even hang out in the hallways and just chat about nothing in particular when they were done. In our continuing roll-out of BuddyTV's exclusive interviews with FOX stars, today we offer a two-fer with the cast of Bones
: Eric Millegan
and Tamara Taylor
Millegan plays Zach Addy, the socially awkward yet brilliant assistant to Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan (Emily Deschanel
). At the end of the second season, Zach was called to help serve his country in Iraq, though he returned in season 3's first episode, though he seemed a bit more unusual than normal. Taylor plays Cam Saroyan, Brennan's superior who is far more level-headed, pointing out the obvious social faux pas Bones frequently makes.
Both Millegan and Taylor took the time to talk to BuddyTV about what they're looking forward to this season and what they might like to see for their characters. Bones airs the third season's fourth episode tonight, and next week is the show's special Halloween episode.
