Previously on Bones: The team was shaken by the discovery that one of their own, Zack Addy, was the serial cannibal's apprentice.

Bones has a lot of heavy stuff to deal with moving into the fourth season.  With the discovery that Zack was the Gormagon's apprentice, the team at the Jeffersonian will have to get used to life without the lovable yet socially awkward assistant.  The show promises not to replace Zack right away, but rather they will have a series of temporary replacements fill the position over the season.

Additionally, the Hodgins-Angela romance will finally move forward as Angela's long-lost husband finally makes his appearance on the fourth season premiere.  While the emotional drama will brew stateside, Bones and Booth will spend the special two-hour premiere in London to help police overseas solve a case.  The actors and crew actually filmed in London, so expect plenty of impressive visuals.

Though the cases will continue to drive the action, there will be plenty of relationship drama as well.  Dr. Sweets (John Francis Daley) will get a new girlfriend while still adapting to his new role, helping the team solve crimes and work out their personal problems.  And Angela's husband won't be the only blast form her past returning, as other exes will come out, in more ways than one.  Hodgins will have to face a new challenge when one of Angela's former flames is revealed to be a woman.
