Canadian actress Gina Holden was born on March 17, 1975 in the town of Smithers, British Columbia. Her first performance was during a figure skating exhibition at age five, and later on she trained in various forms of dance, such as tap, ballet, musical theater, and modern dance. At the age of 15, she was scouted by a modeling agency and moved to Japan, where she promoted Shiseido cosmetics and appeared on over twenty magazine covers. She would later return to North America and work in TV shows and movies such as Fantastic Four, The Dead Zone, Final Destination 3, Supernatural, and Aliens vs. Predator 2.

Coreen Fennel is portrayed by Gina Holden in the Lifetime Television’s occult drama Blood Ties. A hardcore and fiery goth girl, she met Vicki and Henry after Coreen’s boyfriend Ian Reddick was the first to die in a series of supernatural murders. After witnessing and learning about the darker truths lurking in the night, she insisted on coming along with them. Though she dresses in black and works as Vicki’s assistant, Coreen’s efforts to go along on cases and to win Henry’s attention are typically rebuffed, especially since he has no intention of fulfilling the teenager’s wish to be turned into a vampire like him.
