Just like her character Margene on
Big Love, who has gradually forged a bond with Bill Henrickson’s (
Bill Paxton) legal wife Barb and second wife Nicki,
Ginnifer Goodwin has also developed a friendship with her co-stars
Jeanne Tripplehorn and
Chloe Sevigny. But while these three girls have their own share of personal issues with each other on the HBO polygamy-themed series, in real life, however, there is no drama.
“I am absolutely surprised that I've worked with these people now for five years and we have no drama. We have no divas. It's the healthiest, most collaborative, prioritized set. These women are women whose real lives and families, and what I judgmentally consider very good values, come first… People seem to be shocked when they do photo shoots with us,” Ginnifer Goodwin told
The Hollywood Reporter.
Goodwin is currently filming the new season of
Big Love, which is expected to air early next year. At the same time, she is also busy with her upcoming film He's Just Not That Into You, where she plays the character Gigi.
Comparing her
Big Love character Margene, Goodwin reveals that “They're both un-self-aware. Gigi is definitely more awake and grounded than Margene and definitely less sensitive and -- dare I say -- more intelligent. Because you gotta admit, sometimes Margene is just a plain airhead.”
He's Just Not That Into You pairs Margene with yet another large accomplished cast of women, following her movie
Mona Lisa Smile where she worked alongside Julia Roberts, Kirsten Dunst, Julia Stiles and Maggie Gyllenhaal. This time, she’ll be starring with
Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, and Scarlett Johansson.
“I'm so spoiled rotten! I was sent my cast list [for the film], and I started crying! I hope that in a past life I did something really noble. But, you know, I'm big on not wasting time. And I've certainly gone more time than not working because starting with
Mona Lisa Smile set my sights so high,” the
Big Love actress said.
