It's been awhile since we've had some update on HBO's polygamy-themed series, Big Love.  Luckily, I've stumbled upon a little casting scoop for that will hopefully ease your wait for the highly anticipated third season.

Warning: May contain spoilers.

According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, one of wives may have a surprise daughter. This news will certainly come as a shock to the rest of the residents of Juniper Creek because, apparently, she's had this daughter for more than a decade already.

Producers of the show have yet to announce the actress who will be portraying the “surprise daughter” but casting is reportedly underway for the youngster, who's said to be a dead ringer for her mom.

This marks the latest casting news on Big Love.  A couple months ago, Mark L. Young has been added to the cast as Franky, the character of Bill's (Bill Paxton) half-brother.  Additionally, fans can expected some new characters to spice up the drama, including Ray Henry, Nicki's (Chloe Sevigny) boss at the law firm, Jerry Flute, a Native-American power player who doesn't sit well with Bill and Don (Joel McKinnon Miller) and Rob O'Hare, a neighbor who doesn't see eye to eye with Bill's wives in terms of Bill's approach to marriage.

Meanwhile, there has been plenty of speculation that Big Love might not be returning as originally planned.  As reported previously, HBO is expected to air new episodes of the drama series beginning January 11, 2009.  However, various sources are reporting that the show might return on January 25 or on a much later date.

Big Love also stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Margene Heffman, Jeanne Tripplehorn as Barbara Dutton Henrickson, Harry Dean Stanton as Roman Grant, Douglas Smith as Ben Henrickson, Matt Ross as Alby Grant, Bruce Dern as Frank Harlow and Amanda Seyfried as Sarah Henrickson, just to name a few.
