Tex's Take: BB8 Week 8 Preview, Jessica is the New Head of Household
Thursday, August 23, 2007
Jen went out with a bang. I loved it when she said to Daniele on her way out “Thanks for having my back”. Once again a person that Daniele made a commitment to walks out the door. Eric’s comment, about everyone being happier to see her leave than she was, was totally uncalled for and I hope it bites him in the tail. She was treated horribly by some of those people in that house, and it was not necessary for him to rub it in that she was not wanted there.
The only reason I can think of for his comment is that male ego flexing thing. He seems to pick what he thinks are the perfect moments for his asinine comments. He must think it makes him seem like a big man, but I think it only makes him look like a little boy pretending to be a man. He may be America’s Player, but as far as I’m concerned, he can go to sequester now. We have our final two vote, so he serves no further purpose. Can you tell that he’s been annoying me?
Unfortunately, he’ll be safe for another week. With Jessica winning Head of Household, the nominees are almost certain to be Amber and either Jameka or Zach. Jessica and Jameka are friends, so I wouldn’t think she’d put her up… but then she has that relationship with Zach, too. I don’t think it’s going to be a relaxing week for her. Of course we know that whoever is up against Amber will be going home, since she’s had that vision of being HoH and it hasn’t happened yet. Yes, I’m being sarcastic.
I’d like Zach to be safe. He’s about the only houseguest that hasn’t worked my nerves lately. And I love how he’s taken to calling Dick out about his bad behavior. He’s the only one who doesn’t seem to be intimidated by Dick and his tantrums. He’s gone from nonentity to power player here. If he makes it to F2, I think he’ll win and he should have been gone weeks ago with the rest of his alliance.
Speaking of Dick, who will be his next victim? His favorite whipping boy (or girl) is gone. Will he now behave himself? He has shown that he can be so much fun. Remember the games he made up the first couple of weeks? I’m hoping that he will relax now and show the fun side again, but I’m kind of afraid that the pressure of the game will get to him. He’s already taken pot shots at Amber and Jameka, will he start that again? I’m sure that whoever the ‘group’ decides is going home will be demonized and Dick will take his shots.
It’s been a couple of hours since Jen was evicted, but she still has been the topic of conversation, lol. It seems that Jen told Amber about Eric’s outside the house girlfriend. Once Jessica won HoH, Amber wasted no time getting to her to tell her about how untrustworthy Eric was and used what Jen said as an example. Jessica confronted Eric about it and now Eric is livid. He now says that he hates Jen worse than Dick does. Of course, I laughed when I heard about Jen blabbing. Karma, anyone?
Jessica has heard enough about Eric that she should be skeptical of anything he says. I don’t know the hold he has on her, but she believes anything he tells her. I’m sure he will be trying to talk her into nominating Zach. He has serious issues with him. That green eyed bug named jealousy has bitten him. Zach cracks me up when he butts in on their private conversations.
Was this the wrong week for Jessica to win HoH? Some people think she should have let Dick win this week to keep herself eligible for next week. Next week both Dick and Daniele will be eligible and one of the four will be in danger of nomination depending on the Power of Veto. That will be a good time for an alliance buster. We know Eric won’t win HoH, so that puts the Eric/Jessica pair at risk. That is unless Jessica surprises us this week and becomes the alliance buster herself.
So will the nominations be as suspected? Will Jessica take the safe route and put up Amber and either Jameka or Zach? I’m curious to see which of the two she will pick. I guess we’ll find out Friday. Until next time, catch y’all in the forums …
