An aspiring model, 26-year-old Shay (short for Shalandra), is one among the contestants of season 4 of Beauty and the Geek. She is a bartender and former beauty pageant queen from Little Rock, Arkansas, and a communications major at Pulaski Tech. During her free time, she enjoys shopping, modeling and skating.

Shay is paired with astrophysicist Joshua.  During the first week of the competition, Shay and Joshua were paired together because they each scored the lowest on their preliminary skills tests.  From there, Shay went on to win the third grade teaching challenge.  Shay and Joshua were the seventh couple to eliminated when they were bested by William and Jennifer.
