New 'Battlestar Galactica' Season 4 Promos Hit the Web
New 'Battlestar Galactica' Season 4 Promos Hit the Web
Even with the awesome Razor movie helping to tide us over, it feels like it's been frakking ages since the season 3 finale of Battlestar Galactica.  When we last saw the BSG crew in action, four newly revealed Cylons were humming along to Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower."  We've been waiting for months to find out the meaning behind that cryptic and confusing event, and now the wait is almost over.  With the new season finally starting on Friday, April 4 at 10pm, exciting clues about what we can expect in the final year of the Sci Fi Channel series are starting to emerge.  There should be a lot more information in the next few weeks, but for now we have two new Battlestar Galactica promos that offer intriguing clues about what's to come.

The first teaser, which is very low-key and depressing, kicks off with a few of the BSG characters owning up to how destructive their actions have been.  Number Six (Tricia Helfer) states that she was instrumental in wiping out humanity, while Baltar admits that he's failed many people over the years.  The clip then cuts to members of the Galactica crew stating what they'll be feeling as the new season begins.  Admiral Adama (Edward James Olmos) is looking to the future, Lee is ready to make his own laws, and Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnell) feels her life is nearing an end.

The second promo is filled with much more action, and starts off with Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) asking, "Why can't you trust me?"  That moment, coupled with a shot of someone holding her in a headlock, leads me to believe that Kara Thrace may not be welcomed back aboard the Galactica with open arms.  The clip also promises us that the twelfth Cylon will be revealed, while teasing us with a scene where Colonel Tigh (Michael Hogan) points a gun at Adama's head.  It looks like things are going to get very intense, very quickly.

As if I wasn't already counting down the days to Battlestar Galactica's fourth season premiere, these two promos just made me more excited than ever.  It looks like the final year of BSG is going to be filled with all the action and intense emotion we've come to expect from this great series.
