Army Wives' Drew Fuller Marching to The Big Screen
Army Wives' Drew Fuller Marching to The Big Screen
Aside from being part of one of the highest-rated cable shows, Army Wives actor Drew Fuller is also about to appear in a star-studded big screen project this summer.

Blonde Ambition, which is presently in post-production, is a film about a small-town girl who relocates to New York City, where she eventually becomes a successful businesswoman.

When news of Blonde Ambition’s production came out last year, many thought that the film was a remake of the Academy-Award winning film, Working Girl. However, singer turned actress Jessica Simpson, who will star in the film as Katie, said in an interview that Blonde Ambition “is definitely the theme of Working Girl,” but not a remake of the 1988 film that starred Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver, Alec Baldwin and Melanie Griffith.

Other major cast members include Luke Wilson, Paul Vogt, Rachel Leigh Cook, Andy Dick, Penelope Ann Miller, Larry Miller and Willie Nelson. Fuller, who plays Trevor LeBlanc in Lifetime's drama series Army Wives, will portray Billy in the film.

Fuller, 27, began his career as a male fashion and commercial model. He ventured into acting in 1999, and from there made several guest appearances on shows like Huff and The O.C. Prior to being cast in Army Wives, Fuller’s most notable television role was that of Chris Perry Halliwell in the fantasy drama series, Charmed.

In 2006, the Army Wives actor starred in the film adaptation of Jim Stovall’s The Ultimate Gift. The film did not generate a significant number in the box office, but it did give Fuller the opportunity to act alongside James Garner, Tony Award-winning actor Brian Dennehy and Academy-Award nominee Abigail Breslin.

Fuller’s additional film credits include Voodoo Academy, One, Close Call and Loaded, a thriller which is slated for release in November.

Blonde Ambition will hit theaters on August 3rd.
