Andy Hallett



Andy Hallett was born Andrew Alcott Hallett on August 4, 1975 on the Cape Cod town of Osterville. Hallett went to Barnstable High School before taking up Business with an emphasis on Management Marketing at Assumption College in Worcester. He took on various jobs as a property manager, personal assistant and as a runner for The Radmin Agency when he moved to Los Angeles. Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator, Joss Whedon chanced upon Hallett's singing performance in a University City Blues revue and was inspired to write the character of the anagogic demon, karaoke bar emceeing Host on Angel.

Lorne the Host, played by Andy Hallett on Angel, was the flamboyant and outgoing demon owner of the demon/human Karaoke bar Caritas. An Anagogic demon, he used his unique ability to read people's auras while they were singing and offered sage advice regarding their life to help them find the right path to follow.
