Tyra Banks Talks Contestants and Guests for 'America's Next Top Model' Cycle 13
The shorties will reign this September once America's Next Top Model returns for its 13th Cycle.  Supermodel and host Tyra Banks is as excited as the show's fans, as well as the contestants.

The CW Source caught up with the celebrity and asked her about what the next season has to offer.  Dubbed the "Shorty Edition," the upcoming installment of America's Next Top Model is hoping to break boundaries in the industry in terms of height.  Even so, there's bound to be plenty of talented hopefuls that are gearing up to be the next big thing in the world of modeling.

"We're shooting Top Model right now, Cycle 13," Tyra Banks said on the interview.  She explained how every contestant is below 5'7", which poses more challenges for everyone involved.

"Our shortest girl is 5'2"," the America's Next Top Model host said.  "I have to say this is the most difficult season, because the girls are so strong.  I was able to choose from so many more - hundreds and thousands of girls, because there's not that many women 5'9" and above.  But there are millions and millions that are below 5'7", which allowed us to have a very, very strong cast."

"Oh my gosh, and the pictures?" Tyra exclaimed.  "These girls, it takes Top Model to the next level!"

Tyra Banks even discussed the number of famous guest stars who might be joining the ATNM bandwagon.  It was previously reported that Kim Kardashian would be lending a hand in the show, but the series' host dropped even more names.

"We have Lauren Conrad as a guest judge," Tyra said.  "We might have Kim Kardashian.  I think Cheryl Tiegs is coming, Kathy Ireland.  We're trying to get a lot of models and a lot of young girls that the younger audiences can relate to."

America's Next Top Model seems to really be pulling out all the stops for the upcoming season.  There's the exciting new twist, as well as the judges.  They have two reality TV celebrities, one from The Hills and the other from Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and two more supermodels who'll be mentoring the girls.

Don't miss the return of America's Next Top Model, airing with a two-hour special premiere on the CW, September 9 at 7pm.
