'America's Next Top Model' Rewind: Season 8
This year's cycle 8 of America's Next Top Model brought us the first Latina winner, Jaslene Gonzalez.  We first met Jaslene a season earlier, when she was cut in the semi-final round.  She vowed to come and try out again, proving that determination really does pay off.  The season was extremely popular and its finale broke ratings records for both the show and the CW network.

Cycle 8 was also the first time Tyra brought in two plus size models to compete in the finals, Whitney Cunningham and Diana Zalewski.  From getting throw into a pool by 50 Cent to having a screaming meltdown in Australia, cycle 8 rarely had a dull moment.  Here's a look back at some of best moments from cycle 8 of America's Next Top Model.

No one will ever forget the uncomfortable and unattractive red weave that was given to model Brittany Hatch during her makeover.  If you tried to forget, she'd make sure you remembered.  What fans may have forgotten was that Jael Strauss was also given a makeover that was painful, only to have Jay Manuel decide he didn't like it and get rid of it, opting for a short cut instead.  She may have shed a tear but Brittany shed a thousand.  She whined the entire season about her weave, her short term memory loss, and the lack of driving ability by Australian cab drivers.  Her whiny attitude ultimately got her sent home, despite the fact that she took very strong pictures.

Speaking of Jael, she may not have been your typical idea of a model but the girl turned out some great performances both on and off camera.  She certainly had her hard times, like when she found out a friends of hers had passed away from drugs.  She also brought trouble on herself, like the time she wouldn't leave 50 Cent alone and he finally shoved her into a pool.  It's amazing she wasn't sent home right then but she managed to stick around for two more episodes when an Australian Cover Girl commercial shoot got the best of her.

Though runner up Natasha Galkina came a long way from the first episode to the finale, it was Jaslene's consistent performances that landed her the title of America's Next Top Model.  Since winning, she has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award, appeared in several magazines and on talk shows.  As BuddyTV reported, she was seen earlier this month walking in a GenArt fashion show.

A new cycle of America's Next Top Model kicks off this Wednesday.  Be sure to check back for live thoughts, recaps, and interview each week.  Post your favorite moments from the different cycles and be sure to check back Wednesday for premiere night!
