Idol fans have been a buzz since Simon Cowell's brother said this would be the head judges' final season on American Idol. Not so fast, claims Randy Jackson, the other remaining original AI judge. When asked by TMZ about Simon's purported Idol exit after the show's 10th season, Randy Jackson said that fans shouldn't "believe everything they read or hear."

Jackson also said he's just trying to "hold it down" when it comes to season 10 of American Idol and the changes already facing the show. He seemed perplexed or at least coy about further questions regarding Simon's American Idol status, asking the TMZ camera man "who told you that?" when confronted about Cowell's rumored exit.

Considering last season Cowell himself promised all four judges from season 9 would "absolutely" be returning to American Idol for season 10, we'll take the Randy's response and the rumor with a grain of salt. Hopefully Simon addresses these rumors soon, at this point his silence is stoking the fire more than anything.
