Oh, here we go again, with all this talk of Simon Cowell leaving American Idol
... the last we heard, his brother Tony confirmed that he will leave to prep for the American version of The X Factor
, and just as quickly, most are betting that America's Got Talent
judge Piers Morgan is taking his place.
Piers, well, wouldn't comment much.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
"I don't think anyone can replace Simon Cowell," he said as he co-hosted the fourth hour of NBC's Today
earlier today. "I think he is irreplaceable. He is the dark master."
"It's hypothetical," he added. "I'm not sure he's leaving."
He also admits to be a bit "disconcerting" that people are pegging him to be Simon's replacement. "The only reason people are saying that I'm the favorite is because I'm probably presumed to be as mean as he is, which I feel quite upset about because I'm actually Mr. Nice Guy," he said.
But if he is offered the job, he said, he'll take it. "I think it will entirely be down to him what happens," he said.
Well, Piers--who also judges Britain's Got Talent
, also known as that show where Susan Boyle rose to fame--isn't the only person people are pegging as Simon's replacement. Then again, his name's been mentioned more than, say, P. Diddy, or music producer Quincy Jones, or the show's creator itself, Simon Fuller.
The only thing he's willing to confirm: The X Factor
is coming to our shores. "It's going to be the biggest thing you've seen on TV for years," he promised.
