Kevin Covais (aka Chicken Little aka Special K) burst onto the scene on season five of American Idol.  Why?  Who the hell knows.  His less that mediocre singing was only intensified by his propensity to act “gangsta”, an interesting life decision for a puny white boy from Jersey.  He was a high school junior when he appeared on Idol, and his youth showed every time he took the stage. 

His somewhat nerdy look probably helped him find the niche audience that allowed him to advance as far as he did.  To be fair, the kid did his best with what he had and he really was a likable dude.  There's something to be said for the intestinal fortitude it took to be who he was, and look like he does, and then go ahead and act like he did.  Nonetheless, he'll go down in the books as one of the worst pure singers to hit the Hollywood round of Idol.
