Adam Lambert to Host VH1 Divas

We all know Adam Lambert's a natural when performing on stage. But can he host? We're about to find out, as he called into Big Morning Buzz Live to announce that he will be hosting this year's VH1 Divas special on Sunday, December 16 at 9pm. Ciara, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and Jordin Sparks are set to perform and pay tribute to some of the best dance music divas, including Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. In a press release, Lambert said, "I'm so thrilled to be hosting VH1 Divas this year. I have a feeling it's going to be the most fabulous concert of the year! And LIVE!! Get ready for some amazing performances, killer fashion and fierce divas!"

American Idol Promo #4

Idol sure is pushing that they're the only singing competition that creates stars. That's not a bad thing to be that forthcoming, obviously, because they have the facts to back it up. In this newest promo for season 12, the focus is on former winners and contestants who have made it big. "American Idol creates real superstars, from Kelly Clarkson to Carrie Underwood, to 2011 winner Scotty McCreery and 2012 winner Phillip Phillips."

Jessica Sanchez's Album Delayed Until Spring

As the above promo shows, Phillip Phillips already has proven his success. And while it's too early to tell if the finalist who came in second to him, Jessica Sanchez, will follow suit, we've finally gotten word on when to expect her debut album to be out. And if you're a fan of hers, then unfortunately you'll have to wait quite a bit longer than normal.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Jessica provided a timeframe: "I think a single will be ready in January, and the album will be out in March or April." By the way, January is when she'll be on set filming Glee, which is expected to air in the spring, right around the time the album is released. So while having a four month delay seems like it'll hurt sales, the record label is of course being strategic in their decision and hoping her Glee appearance will be the driving force behind people buying the album. Not too bad of a plan; let's just hope it works.

Carrie Underwood, Jimmy Fallon Perform Together

Late Night host Jimmy Fallon is known for his comedic musical performances. And his latest just happened last night when Carrie Underwood stopped by. Besides being interviewed and singing "Blown Away," she teamed up with Fallon to take on country versions of popular rap songs, which they call country-rap, or c'rap. And it gets even better: their duo name is Jim Carrie. Watch the video below for their renditions of "Straight Outta Compton," "Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang" and "The Humpty Dance."

The Top Idol Album Sales

Carrie Underwood co-hosted and performed during the CMA Awards, which helped increase sales of Blown Away. Kelly Clarkson also performed, debuting her duet with Vince Gill, and that shows in the numbers below. Here is the list of the four Idols on the Billboard 200 chart right now, courtesy of USA Today:
