This is going to be very, very interesting.
Entertainment Weekly reports
that next week's American Idol
will celebrate the music of the iconic British band, the Rolling Stones.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
Now, I'd usually just be happy that this year's Top 12--they will be announced tomorrow night, by the way--are finally moving away from the Billboard charts. But the music of the Rolling Stones? Man, wouldn't that be so cool? I mean, imagine, say, Crystal Bowersox performing songs that Mick Jagger did. Or Katie Stevens. Or Michael Lynche. Or Andrew Garcia. Or...
...yep, it's going to be interesting, partly because I still remember Adam Lambert's Top 36 performance last year. It's either going to be really great or really disappointing.
Anyway, there's no official word yet, but EW
reports that during a commercial break in Wednesday night's performance show, Ryan taped a radio plug mentioning that the Top 12 are singing songs from the Stones' discography. So expect the usual (and perhaps unexpected) Idol spins to songs such as "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", "Wild Horses" and "You Can't Always Get What You Want".
Are you excited? Are you bummed? Are you glad there's another Glee
