Greg Germann was born on February 26, 1958 in Houston, Texas. The son of a playwright and a homemaker, he grew up on Lookout Mountain located near Golden, Colorado. He eventually went on to pursue higher learning at the University of Northern Colorado, opting to major in theater and performance arts. Germann began acting on Broadway in a number of plays, such as War Games, Assassins, and The Person I Once Was where he worked alongside Academy Award-winning actress Holly Hunter. He has also played roles in a number of feature films, among them Clear and Present Danger, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and So I Married an Axe Murderer.
Richard Fish is portrayed by Greg Germann in the Fox network’s Emmy Award-winning television comedy series Ally McBeal. He is a co-founder of the Cage and Fish law firm together with his best friend John Cage. Richard eventually marries Debbie Bump.
