American actress Ambyr Childers was born on July 18, 1988 in Cottonwood, Arizona. She was raised, however, in Murietta, California. Her acting debut was in 2000, when she played a guest role in the teen series L.A. 7 (or S Club 7 in L.A.) She then appeared in two films: the romantic comedy Carolina, which was released in 2003, and the comedy Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star, which was also released in 2003. She also appeared in numerous television commercials.
Perhaps Childers is best known, however, for her role in the daytime soap All My Children. She joined the cast in 2006, playing the role of Colby Chandler, a role she inherited from Kathryn Newton. During her stay in the program, she was the rebellious teen, getting into numerous troubles; she was also a spoiled brat, having been raised with extravagances provided by her father, Adam Chandler (David Canary). Another notable storyline is when she helped deliver Krystal Carey’s (Bobbie Eakes) baby girl. She left the show in 2008, and was replaced by Brianne Moncrief.
