'All My Children' Star Appears Tonight on 'Lipstick Jungle'
One of All My Children's very own will make a brief crossover from the world of daytime dramas to that of primetime serials.  Leven Rambin, who plays both Lily Montgomery and her half-sister Ava Benton on ABC's All My Children, will be appearing in tonight's episode of NBC's new series, Lipstick Jungle.

Rambin landed the guest-starring gig before the holidays, while the Writers' Guild of America was still on strike.

"I found out about [the role] before the holidays, when the writers' strike was happening," the All My Children regular told the Houston Chronicle.  "I was very lucky to be working because not many people were at that time."

"I play a character named Chloe Jamison, who is a very spoiled, overly dramatic, out-of-control actress who works for Brooke Shields' character, who is a movie executive," Rambin continued, describing her role in tonight's Lipstick Jungle installment.

Rambin's turn on the new series will give viewers, particularly fans of All My Children, a chance to see the 17-year old actress essay a persona outside of her daytime alter egos.  Since 2004, Rambin has been attached to her character, the autistic teen, Lily, on All My Children.  Last year, she also began portraying Ava, Lily's half-sister.

In Lipstick Jungle, the young actress makes a brief transition from her sweet and gentle persona on All My Children, to one that has a bit more spunk and edge.  The experience gave her a chance to work with Brooke Shields - a seasoned actress, who, like her, also began her career at a very tender age.

According to Rambin, Shields "is very maternal and really cool.  She helped me a lot, gave me career advice and was very supportive.  I loved working with her.  She was great.  The whole experience was great."

Another thing the young All My Children cast member won't soon forget was her Academy Awards experience several days ago.

"It was a lot of fun,” Rambin gushed.  “I saw Javier Bardem [Oscar winner as Best Supporting Actor for No Country for Old Men] and was star-struck.  He's incredible and pretty cool.  I really admire him and would love to work with him.”

Rambin also attended Elton John's AIDS Foundation Oscar bash as well as the In Style Oscar shindig.
