A Double Shot at Love

MTV Casting for 'A Shot at Love' 4
After Tila Tequila and the Ikki Twins, it would seem that audiences have had their fill of A Shot at Love.  However, MTV is bringing another round of the scandalous reality series, and is currently scouring the country for men and women to be on the show.

The network is in search of the “most eligible, alluring, outrageous, and adventurous men and women to go head-to-head for a chance to win the heart of our bi-sexual bachelorette in the ultimate battle of the sexes because all is fair in love and war.”  The identity of the next Tila Tequila/Vikki and Rikki remains unknown, but that won't stop the thousands of hopefuls from joining.

Those interested in applying for the fourth season of A Shot at Love should head over to www.shotatlovecasting.com and fill up the appropriate form on the site.  Afterwards, send in your Home Video Audition and complete the Tape Submission Letter for your chance at reality TV romance.

Aspiring contestants must be “at least 21 years old, and have the sex appeal, heart and spirit” to catch the eye of the new Bi-Bachelorette.  While we're pretty sure it's not Tila Tequila, who would really want another round with the Ikki Twins?  Since most of the couples produced by this reality series didn't last, is another season worth pursuing?

Let's review.  MTV's bisexual-themed reality dating show, A Shot at Love, premiered in 2007 and has had three seasons.  The first two featured MySpace queen Tila Tequila, with both of the TV-spawned relationships going from bad to worse.  Her first was with Bobby Banhart, which didn't work out in the long run.  The second season found winner Kristy Morgan rejecting Tila, saying she wasn't ready for a relationship with a woman.

As for the Ikki Twins, surfer boy Trevor won, but he couldn't have both girls.  The two almost came to blows over him, since chose Vikki over Rikki.  Though she eventually agreed, it really doesn't count as a happy ending.

Despite all that, A Shot at Love remains one of the network's most successful shows, due to the contestants' spats and heart-wrenching moments they produce.  So there might still be hope for ratings when another season of the show rolls in, if only for the shock value.
