We still haven't been able to beat the Comic-Con fever. And maybe we don't want to. However, 30 Rock star Judah Friedlander has some advice on defending ourselves against all the elements of nature.
By that we mean fighting off anything, or anybody. Even those hordes of fans at Comic-Con.
For those who didn't know, Judah Friedlander is a writer. It's not just his role on NBC's 30 Rock. He authored the book "How to Beat Up Anybody: An Instructional and Inspirational Karate Book by the World Champion", which was launched recently and was met with success.
On the exclusive Comic-Con clip below, he gives fans some tips straight from the tome.
In case you're too tired from beating up strangers who cross your path (read: lazy) to look at the video or buy a copy of the book, we'll tell you what we got from the clip. The 30 Rock star says there are sections written specifically for specific people. But don't worry, we're translating some of them just for you.
Bits and Pieces from World Champion Judah Friedlander's Self Defense Tips for Women:
- If you're not a woman, dress up as a woman.
- Turn ten times more badass.
- Choose your shoes wisely.
- Read the rest of the book.
Well, he didn't reveal much. The secret techniques will remain a secret until you flip through "How to Beat Up Anybody." It's available through Amazon.
Friedlander also discussed how similar he was to his 30 Rock character. Mostly it boils down to videogames and his trademark trucker hats (17 years' worth and counting!). However, he differs from Frank because he's the real World Champion. We just can't compete with that.
He's also a Comic-Con newbie, and his greatest experience so far was being mistaken for someone who was playing himself. Talk about meta. Don't forget to catch Judah Friedlander when
30 Rock returns next year on NBC. You can also catch him performing standup around the area; details are on
his official site.
