24: Episode 7.8, "3:00pm to 4:00pm" Recap (Page 1/2)
Jack Bauer and company are about to be taken out of the underground and into the White House.  24 is embarking here on its second act, it seems, with the first major threat of season 7 more or less thwarted.  The CIP device has been destroyed, and the domestic terrorist threat is no more.  What will Madame Lady President Taylor think of Jack Bauer's upcoming White House appearance?  What will become of Henry Taylor?  How will Dubaku's girlfriend react to the lack of quality time with her evil terrorist paramour?  Questions abound.  Join me in this, the eighth hour of 24, and watch Jack Bauer probably kill some people, yell at some more, and gruff his way into the hearts and souls of America.

We begin the episode with Vossler dropping First Dude Henry Taylor off at Dubaku's hideout, this one underneath a shoddy looking mini-mart.  Meanwhile, Madame Lady President Alison Taylor addresses the nation and informs them that the attacks of the day were indeed of the terrorist variety, and had nothing to do with birds getting caught in the plane engine.  Taylor says the terrorist danger has been taken care of, and that they “WILL NOT GIVE IN TO TERRORISTS!”

Dubaku asks Henry if his wife loves him enough to call off the invasion of Sangala.  Uh-oh.

Mutobo, Jack Bauer and Bill Buchanan arrive at the White House, head to the Oval Office.  The Madame Lady President hears them out.  They explain their piece, massive conspiracy in the administration, blah blah blah.  Bill explains his reasons for keeping his movement underground, and that they had to do what they did.  It may have cost some lives, but it also saved thousands.  OK, the Prez is sold.  Maybe too easily, but whatever.  It's Jack.  Mostly – Homeland and the FBI have to be kept in the dark from here on out.

Dubaku calls Lady Madame Female President Woman Allison Taylor and infroms Miss Prez that he has her Husband, the First Dude.  He wants Mutobo by 4pm and the troops to leave Sangala, or else he will execute Henry Taylor, the poor guy.  To make it clear he means business, Dubaku cuts off Henry's finger while on the phone.  Also, if she sends anyone to find him, he will kill him immediately.  This kidnapping confirms Jack's argument that there is corruption in the government.

Taylor knows that she can't change her plans because of one person's life, even if that person is her husband.  Jack will find him.  Allison isn't sure if she can trust him.  Jack tells her to ask to around.  She trusts him, who wouldn't?  It's Jack Bauer.  Jack gets some security information, phone records, works his magic, Renee gets Gedge's phone records with some help from Moss, and they're in like Flint.  Moss is surprised/delighted/confused when he hears from Walker, and a little upset when she tells him that he has to keep her survival a secret.

Anyhoo, Jack gets a bead on Vossler, and leaves to follow.  Meanwhile, Walker is sent to Vossler's home, at Jack's orders.  They will use them to get info out of Vossler.

Jack then asked for a secure hardline and the details of the security surrounding the president and the first husband. He then asked Renee to get phone records of Brian Gedge, the security dude that screwed the first gentleman over. They don't know how to get a hold of the records until she recommends Larry Moss and she goes off to ask him.
