The biggest pop culture event of the year is almost here: the San Diego Comic-Con. In 2007, over 125,000 people attended the convention, which covers everything from film to television to comic books. That number is expected to be matched this year, as each day of the event is completely sold out. BuddyTV will be reporting directly from Comic-Con beginning this Thursday, and we'll continue updating with all the latest news until the convention comes to an end on Sunday. We'll also have additional stories about the Comic-Con experience in the following weeks, so keep checking BuddyTV for updates.
To prepare for our big trip to San Diego, we compiled a list of the five panels we're most looking forward to. Read on to see what we're truly excited about.

Not going to lie...I'm pretty excited about Joss Whedon's DOLLHOUSE.

YAY for Supernatural...it's nice to see that it is getting the credit it deserves!!
5) Joss Whedon
There are few things more exciting than a presentation from the creator of
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and
Firefly. On Saturday, he'll be speaking about his Internet musical,
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, as well as his work on the
Buffy season 8 comic book and his upcoming FOX series,
Dollhouse.
4) 24
It's been approximately three centuries since the last new episode of
24 aired, and though season 6 was subpar we still can't wait to see Jack Bauer return.
Kiefer Sutherland and
Carlos Bernard will be appearing on Saturday to discuss the upcoming
24 TV movie, as well as the seventh season.
3) Heroes
Few panels at Comic-Con will feature as many celebrities as the one for
Heroes. Creator Tim Kring and practically every cast member will be there on Saturday to give a sneak peek at chapter 3 of the
Heroes saga, entitled "Villains."
2) Supernatural
Season 3 of
Supernatural ended with one hell of a cliffhanger, and we're dying to know what awaits the Winchesters in season 4. On Sunday, creator Eric Kripke and stars
Jensen Ackles and
Jared Padalecki will be discussing the upcoming season of the series.
1) Lost
Lost executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse never discuss the previous season's finale until Comic-Con rolls around. We've been waiting for months to hear what the showrunners have to say about the frozen donkey wheel and the disappearing island. They'll finally break their silence on Saturday, and may just drop a hint or two about season 5.
Remember to check back on Thursday for the beginning of our coverage from the San Diego Comic-Con.
