Comic-Con: Partial Programming Schedule Released

HallWe've been waiting months to find out the official schedule for San Diego Comic-Con, which takes place from July 24–27.  With so many actors, directors, producers and creators from the world of film and television attending the convention, not to mention an array of comic book writers and artists, the schedule is often kept under wraps until the last minute.  Today Comic-Con.org finally unveiled the itinerary for Thursday the 24th and Sunday the 27th, which is filled with so many big stars and exciting events that it could easily send a pop culture-lover into hysterics.  The schedule for Friday and Saturday, which contain the biggest panels, will likely be released in the next day or two.

Read on for all the details about the panels for Dexter, Smallville, Supernatural and other shows.  Remember that BuddyTV will be updating straight from Comic-Con with all the latest news and information.

Wednesday, July 23


6:00 – 7:30pm and 7:30 – 9:00pm: Pre-screening of the Fringe pilot episode

Thursday, July 24

10:00 – 11:00am: Kings

The panel will be moderated by Greg Grunberg (Heroes), and feature star Ian McShane along with other cast members.

11:15am – 12:15pm: 30th Anniversary Battlestar Galactica Panel

Featuring Richard Hatch (Tom Zarek/Apollo) and BSG composer Bear McCreary discussing the show's enduring legacy.

11:45am – 12:45pm: Knight Rider

Featuring stars Justin Bruening, Deanna Russo, Sydney Tamiia Poitier and other cast members.

12:00 – 1:00pm: Doctor Who

Featuring writers Steven Moffat and Russell T. Davies.

1:00 – 2:00pm: Torchwood

Featuring star John Barrowman, writers Steven Moffat and Russell T. Davies, and other cast members.

2:00 – 3:00pm: The Middleman

Featuring creator Javier Grillo-Marxuach and stars Matt Keeslar and Natalie Morales.

4:30 – 5:30pm: True Blood

A panel about the new HBO series from Six Feet Under creator Alan Ball.

5:45 – 6:45pm: Dexter

Featuring Michael C. Hall, Julie Benz, Clyde Phillips, and John Goldwyn.

Sunday, July 27

10:00 – 11:00am: Smallville

Featuring new showrunners Kelly Souders, Brian Peterson, Todd Slavkin, and Darren Swimmer.

10:30 – 11:30am: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Moderated by Lost creator Damon Lindelof and featuring stars Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day and Kaitlin Olson.

11:15am – 12:15pm: Supernatural

Featuring stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, creator Eric Kripke, and writers Ben Edlund, Peter Johnson and Sera Gamble.

1:45 – 2:45pm: Ghost Whisperer

Featuring stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy.

4:00 – 5:00pm: Buffy the Musical

Comic-Con comes to an end with a screening of the classic Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode "Once More with Feeling."
