Angel

-Drama Following the success of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel emerged as not only a spin-off from Buffy but proved to be independently strong in terms of its ratings. Angel, which is also created by Joss Whedon in collaboration with David Greenwalt, stars David Boreanaz as the vampire with a soul, Angelus (later on shortened to Angel). The show chronicles the adventures of the vampire turned private detective in constant battle with the demons and monsters linked to Wolfram & Hart in Los Angeles, California. BuddyTV's 'Angel' Collector's Set DVD Giveaway

October 30, 2007

Angel Box SetJoss Whedon is one of those rare geniuses who, in my opinion, never fails to deliver. He created Angel, a spin-off to the international cult hit Buffy the Vampire Slayer, that centered around our favorite vampire with a soul.

For the first time ever, all five seasons of the hit supernatural drama will be packaged together in a 30-disc special collector's box uniquely designed for the ultimate fan. It hit the streets today, and retails for $139.98, but one lucky fan can get his/her very own right here courtesy of BuddyTV.  Read on to see how.

Bones: David Boreanaz's 'Angel' Complete DVD Set Out this Month

October 9, 2007

"Angel DVD"Before David Boreanaz became the relatively simple-thinking, rough around the edges FBI agent Seeley Booth on FOX's Bones, he was best known to television audiences as the brooding vampire with a soul, Angel.  Originally meant as a charismatic adversary for Sarah Michelle Gellar's titular character on Angel's parent show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Boreanaz became a regular fixture on the program until series creator, Joss Whedon deemed him worthy of his very own vehicle.

It's been three years since Angel concluded and went off the air.  Fans of the immortal series have been without their avenging hero for too long.  Alas, Angel aficionados can now rest in peace with the scheduled release of the complete, ultimate collector's edition DVD box set.

What Are They Up To? Angel's Mercedes McNab

August 24, 2007

angelMercedes McNab was known for playing Harmony Kendall on the spin-off Angel, as well as its root series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where she was introduced as one of the members of Cordelia Chase's (Charisma Carpenter) clique.  She joined Wolfram & Hart, as a member of the secretarial pool and eventually became the personal secretary of Angel (David Boreanaz).  More often appearing as a vampire than as a human, she possessed superhuman strength, durability, and speed, along with virtual immortality.  In the coming months, the 27-year-old actress will be taking on a series of thriller movies, which are all expected to hit the theaters later this year.

What Are They Up To? Angel's Christian Kane

August 24, 2007

angelOn the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off Angel, Christian Kane was known as the morally ambiguous lawyer Lindsey McDonald.  He was introduced in the first episode of the show and was featured prominently in the story arcs of seasons 1, 2 and 5.  As an attorney at Wolfram & Hart, he legally represented vampires, demons and evil humans, and aimed to kill Angel (David Boreanaz) for the better part of the series.  Due to an unrevealed mystical process, he became gifted with strength, speed, and endurance but unfortunately met his end at the hands of the Angel's sidekick demon Lorne.  At present, the 33-year-old Texas native remains active in the music circuit, as well as in the movie industry.
