TNT Announces New Shows, Including Legal Drama Starring 'Saved by the Bell' Actor

Fans can expect a cluster of fresh series heading to TNT in the coming months, ensuring a nearly continuous thread of originals on the network into 2009.  Along with returning series such as The Closer and Saving Grace, both of which kicks off this week, news shows like Raising the Bar, Leverage and Trust Me will contribute in attaining the goal of having all original programming on three nights of the week by 2010.

Debra Messing was best known for her role on Will & Grace. As Grace Adler, she depicted a Jewish interior designer who lived in New York with her gay best friend Will Truman. Throughout the show, she became infamous for her string of boyfriends, many of which were portrayed by notable guest stars such as Gregory Hines and Woody Harrelson. In a span of eight years, she won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, and earned nominations for 6 Golden Globe Awards among others.

As the gay lawyer Will Truman, he was nominated for several Emmy Awards and even won the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy in 2001. Initially straight, he realized that his relationship with Grace Adler masked his true sexuality. He came out during college and eventually became best friends with Grace. Throughout the series, he had a string of unsuccessful relationships with men but ended up with a police officer named Vince D'Angelo, played by Bobby Cannavale.
