Stargate SG-1

Shown on the Sci-Fi Channel, this science fiction television series Stargate SG-1 is one of the most popular science fiction television series ever. Stargate SG-1, or more commonly referred as SG-1, takes place on earth with humans traveling using "stargates" or wormholes that allow space travel to outer planets. With conflict brewing with the Goa'uld, an alien race that is highly vicious and an enemy of humans, the humans must explore the Stargate to find and develop technology to defend itself against the Goa'uld. This all takes place from a top-secret base called SGC or Star Gate Command with the SG-1 Team. Although the show has announced it's cancellation after 10 years, it still remains highly popular and development for the series may continue in the upcoming years. See Also Stargate Atlantis
