Fans expecting another season of The Secret Life of the American Teenager won't be disappointed. ABC Family has picked up the highest rated original series in the network's history this past summer for yet another season.  The sophomore season order, which was announced Monday by network vice president Kate Juergens, consists of 24 episodes that will tentatively return in the summer.

The renewal follows ABC Family's recent orders of several series, including 10 Things I Hate About You, which is based on the theatrical of the same name, gymnast series Perfect 10, and comedy Ruby and the Rockits.  Additionally, the network has also ordered 20 and 10 episodes of Greek and Lincoln Heights respectively.  Both shows are expected to return in the summer as well.

When In Treatment returns for a sophomore season next year, Dr. Paul Weston will find himself dealing with some new faces.  As mentioned back in October, Hope Davis (Six Degrees, Deadline) and John Mahoney (Frasier) will be joining the Emmy Award-winning HBO drama respectively as a high-powered malpractice lawyer and former patient of Weston's who blames him for being single and childless, and a self-confident CEO who feels that his life is getting away from him.  But that's not all.

According to Zap2it.com, In Treatment has also booked Lincoln Heights' Russell Hornsby as one of Dr. Weston' new regular patients.  On the series, Hornsby will play a divorced guy with a 12-year-old son.

ABC Family's Lincoln Heights is finally airing its season finale tonight: two hours of the Suttons facing challenges at home, at work, at school, and in life collectively since moving in to their new house in Lincoln Heights.

It's been quite a ride for the family since the third season began airing last September, and everybody seems to be up to something despite the latest run lasting for only ten episodes.  Eddie (Russell Hornsby), still up to speed as a police officer, has grappled with maintaining the peace in the town he lives in, and eventually with his mother's tragic death more than two decades ago, as seen when he opposed the release of his mother's killer.

Lincoln Heights returned for its third season last Thursday, reaching its highest ratings ever at 1.66 million viewers.  With the drama series off to a good start, cast members have pinned high hopes for what this season has to offer.

“I think just now in our third season we're starting to hit our stride.  I think people are just now becoming aware of the show in its third season.  So I think people will really latch onto some of the stories and what we're trying to do.  So I think after this season is over people will be looking for Lincoln Heights to come back for definitely a few more years,” Russell Hornsby, who plays Los Angeles Police Department officer Eddie Sutton, told thedeadbolt.com about the show's new season.

Tonight at 8pm, the highly anticipated ABC Family drama Lincoln Heights returns for a third season following two critically acclaimed seasons that have left viewers craving for more.  As reported previously, Lincoln Heights debuted online exclusively at Fancast.com from September 9 to 15.  For those who weren't able to catch a glimpse of the first episode of the new season, read on for a preview.

Leading to its third season debut on the small screen, the critically acclaimed ABC Family drama Lincoln Heights is apparently testing the waters online or fanning the anticipation, as it premiered and became available on www.fancast.com from Tuesday, September 9 and will be up until Monday, September 15.  It will be available on the site exclusively during that period.
