Tucker Swanson Carlson was born on May 16, 1969 in San Francisco, California, and is a graduate of St. George's School, Newport in Middletown, Rhode Island. He was also a student of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, where he considers his four-year long stay somewhat a waste of time. Before he became the host of the popular politically-motivated shows Crossfire and Tucker, Carlson was on the Policy Review magazine's editorial staff. Moreover, he continues to contribute articles to publications such as City Journal, Esquire and The Weekly Standard. As a television personality, he is most remembered for his televised war of words with comedian Jon Stewart, who hosts the popular comedy series, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Carlson and Stewart have, since then, made up.
Carlson was given the opportunity to shine as a dancer when he became one of the "Stars" competing in the third season of the reality series, Dancing with the Stars. Unfortunately, Carlson and his partner Elena Grinenko
, were the first to be voted off from the show, after Carlson ended up spending most of his time on the dance floor sitting on a chair.
