Terry Deitz Biography:
Born on October 10, 1959 in Matawan, New Jersey, Terry Deitz is a graduate of St. John Vianney High School, where he was quarterback for the football team, a catcher for the baseball team and a member of the wresting team. Deitz studied at the United States Naval Academy for 4 years, afterwhich he became a pilot for the U.S. Navy. He first learned to fly a Navy T-34 turbo prop at the US Navy Flight School in Florida, and after earning jet grades, was sent to Meridian, Mississippi for his T-2 and T-A4 advanced jet training. After he obtained his Navy wings, he was ordered to NAS Miramar in San Diego, California, for training in the F-14 Tomcat, which he later flew as a pilot with the Fighter Squadron-51. After he was honorably discharged from the Navy, he became a commercial pilot for American Airlines. Deitz enjoys playing little league baseball, football and basketball. He received All County and All Conference awards and made All-State Baseball 1st Team and was Varsity Captain for three sports. He was also an avid swimmer and a member of the dive team. He has two children, Kayla and Daniel, with his wife, Trish.
As a cast member on Survivor: Panama-Exile Island, Deitz, a La Mina tribe member up until the tribe merge, was one of the strongest competitors, having won 5 immunity challenges and the reward challenge that won him a much-needed visit from his family. Terry made it all the way to the Final 3, but was finally voted off the island courtesy of
